Job description

​As part of our multi-national team, you will be designing, developing, and maintaining secure, efficient, and reliable Java and Python code for a sophisticated software environment in the space domain. The position includes developing software supporting cybersecurity monitoring of space and ground segment components. As a member of a cybersecurity team with excellent expertise in both software development and space, you will get the opportunity to develop your career. You will help us identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems by assuring the functionality of the systems. You will help maintain the code quality, organization, and automation. You will translate customer needs into delivered features and become proficient in estimating and defining your future tasks.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in computer science or similar scientific curriculum.

  • Proficiency in Java and Python, with knowledge of corresponding language specifications and experience in design, development, and testing.

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and UML class diagrams.

  • Familiarity with development tools such as debuggers, profilers, and tracing utilities.

  • Familiar with the development of secure software and DevSecOps practices.

Experience:

  • Experience with the development of secure software following DevSecOps practices.

  • Proficiency with Linux command line, Source Code Control System (Git), Maven.

  • Debugging code, static and dynamic code analysis.

  • Experience with continuous integration processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of automated testing.

  • Experience with application integration and RESTful APIs.

  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development methodology.

Responsibility:

​Design, develop, document, and test software in Java and Python for cybersecurity monitoring applications in a space environment.

​

Requirements/Must-have skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in Java and Python programming in a Linux environment

  • Object-oriented programming and design using UML

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

​
