We are looking for an External Exposure and Scanning Security Analyst to strengthen our security measures against external threats. In this role, you will assess our external exposure, identify vulnerabilities, and conduct scanning security assessments. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets from external threats.

 

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.

• A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification is preferred.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.

• Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.

• Knowledge of risk assessment and threat modelling.

• Experience in evaluating security controls, policies, and procedures.

• Familiarity with network and system scanning methodologies.

• Experience with security assessment and auditing.

Job Description/Responsibility:

• Assess the organization's external security posture by conducting comprehensive security scans, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and policies in place to protect against external threats.

• Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to the organization's systems and data.

• Provide detailed reports and recommendations for remediation to the security and IT teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security improvements.

• Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and ensure security measures are up to date.

Requirements/Must-have skills:

• Proficiency in using security tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or similar vulnerability scanning tools.

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, architecture, and systems.

• Understanding of common cybersecurity threats and attack vectors.

• Ability to conduct in-depth security assessments and risk analysis.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements related to information security.
